Sherwin-Williams has introduced a topcoat to its signature coating system for USDA-inspected food and beverage facilities.
General Polymers’ FasTop 12 TC, with uniform chemistry and performance, joins a product line that consists of FasTop 12S, FasTop S, FasTop M, FasTop S-U1, FasTop Cove Base and FasTop Plus with AgION antimicrobial technology.
FasTop 12 TC provides a safe, non-slip surface with matte finish to hide wear patterns, the manufacturer says.
Like the rest of the FasTop line, the topcoat is designed to provide extreme abrasion and chemical resistance and thermal shock protection.
The coating is suitable for concrete and steel floors and other constantly wet areas in food processing facilities, restaurants and commercial kitchens. It can also be used as a maintenance topcoat, to restore a nonskid floor surface.
FasTop TC requires six hours of dry time for light foot traffic and 12 hours for full return to service, providing “meaningful reductions in downtime,” said Narsi Bodapati, vice president of marketing.
