Blastrac N.A. has introduced a new, more powerful 500E Global portable shotblast cleaning system. The 500E Global is designed to blast horizontal steel surfaces and break down to fit through a 24-inch access opening.
The steel blaster is designed for medium and large applications, and is particularly suited for large storage tank cleaning, Blastrac says. Its modular assembly allows the unit to fit easily inside storage tanks for cleaning and blasting bottom interior surfaces, while its greater blasting width is suitable for ship decks and interior levels of large vessels.

According to Blastrac, the updated 500E Global:
• Prepares up to 538 square feet per hour
• Offers operator comfort
• Features an electrical drive system and 19.5-inch blasting width
• Offers independent drive for each rear wheel
• Uses less than .04 pound of abrasive per square foot
Updated with a 35hp motor, this latest design is 20% more productive than previous models and reduces out-of-service time, Blastrac says.
The manufacturer recommends coupling the 500E Global with its 8-54DCG1 Dust Collector to reduce airborne dust admittance.
