Coatings professionals who complete SSPC training and certification will continue to receive Continuing Education Units, as the Society for Protective Coatings renews its status as an authorized provider for the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET).

IACET authorized providers are the only organizations approved to offer the association’s Continuing Education Units (CEUs). The recognition period extends for five years and includes all programs offered or created during that time.

SSPC training and certification courses will continue to provide Continuing Education Units.

To become an authorized provider, SSPC completed a rigorous application process, including a review by an IACET site visitor, and successfully demonstrate compliance with the ANSI/IACET 1-2007 Standard addressing the design, development, administration and evaluation of its programs.

SSPC Training and Certification

For further information regarding SSPC training and certification, contact Jennifer Merck at 1.877.281.7772, ext. 2221 or merck@sspc.org.

Founded in 1950, SSPC is the only non-profit association focused entirely on the protection and preservation of concrete, steel and other industrial and marine structures and surfaces through the use of high-performance coatings.

IACET is the only standard-setting organization approved by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) for continuing education and training.
