Arizona Polymer Flooring (APF), a manufacturer of high-performance flooring products and concrete coating systems, has announced the appointment of Gilbert Hernandez as production manager.
Hernandez will oversee all major production functions at the plant’s headquarters in Glendale, AZ.
With more than 17 years of experience in chemical manufacturing and decorative flooring, Hernandez specializes in lean manufacturing, process improvement and critical problem solving.

Before joining APF, he served as production manager for Xcel Surfaces, where he produced acrylic products for the decorative industry. He also manufactured coatings for the aerospace and military industries at PPG.
‘Experienced, Creative’
“Gilbert has all the qualities of a great production manager,” said Daniel Owen, vice president of APF. “He’s experienced, creative and understands the unique challenges of manufacturing high-performance coatings. We’re thrilled to have him on our team.”
Hernandez is HAZMAT certified and has certifications in Just-in-Time and Inventory Control from the Association of Operations Management.
Founded in 1985, Arizona Polymer Flooring manufactures high-performance flooring products and concrete coatings systems using advanced polymer chemistry. It has formulated a wide variety of products based on epoxy, polyurethane and acrylic technology.
