Dur-A-Flex Inc., maker of industrial flooring systems and polymer components, has named Peter Zazzaro as Vice President of Operations.
Zazzaro, of Windsor, CT, is the former Global Director of Operations, Quality & Regulatory Affairs for Dymax Corp., an ISO 9001-certified, global manufacturer of solvent-free, UV light curable adhesives and systems.

“Peter joins the company with an excellent background in polymer adhesives and coatings,” said Dur-A-Flex President and Chief Operating Officer Peter V. Ferris. “In addition, his extensive experience overseeing manufacturing and implementing LEAN programs fits perfectly with our focus on organic growth, quality and operating efficiencies.
“I know he will play a significant role as we work to capitalize on our current strengths.”
Executive Global Experience
At Dymax, Zazzaro managed the operations for medical device, automotive, electronic and aerospace chemical and equipment for the U.S., Europe and Asia.
Before that, he spent 19 years with Germany-based Henkel Corporation (formerly Loctite), where he held a number of North American leadership positions in quality, operations, plant and project management.
Zazzaro holds an MBA in International Business and a bachelor of science degree in biology and chemistry from the University of Connecticut.
Dur-A-Flex is a privately held manufacturer of epoxy, urethane, methyl methacrylate and colored aggregates, offering a complete line of high-performance polymer flooring and wall systems.
“I am very excited to be joining the senior leadership team at Dur-A-Flex and to have the opportunity to develop the company’s strong potential,” said Zazzaro, whose appointment took effect July 5. “I look forward to enhancing our competitive position through organic growth and improving operational efficiencies and quality.”
