The Finishing Contractors Association has hired Cindi Spangler, of St. Louis, MO, as its new Central Regional Vice President and Safety Specialist.
Spangler has an extensive background in the construction industry and most recently served as safety director for T. J. Wies Contracting, of Lake St. Louis, MO.

Spangler “has been brought up in and around our construction industry,” said FCA board chairman Ed Smith. “Cindi is a team player, fiercely loyal and will serve our association and, most importantly, our contractor community and members well.”
Safety Awards
Spangler brings a wealth of experience in the construction industry to FCA with a specialty in safety practices. Under her leadership as safety director, T. J. Wies Contracting won various awards, including a Construction Safety and Excellence Award sponsored by the General Contractors of America, where her company placed third in the nation.
“Sometimes you just know when you meet the right person for your team,” said Tony Darkangelo, CEO of FCA. “As soon as I met Cindi, her communication skills, vibrant personality and industry knowledge clearly demonstrated her enthusiasm for making a difference.”
Spangler will maintain and develop relationships with contractors throughout the Central United States and will direct the FCA’s safety initiatives.
“I’m so excited to join the FCA team,” said Spangler. “Understanding the industry, along with its ever- changing challenges, is what makes our industry exciting and why I decided to make it my career.
“I will bring my passion, enthusiasm and education to the table in hopes of creating relationships with our contractors. I also look forward to reaching out to others in our industry to create a bond that will be not only reliable, but also everlasting.”
