Protective and marine coatings maker Hempel has named Ben Stallings the company’s new Group Multinational Coordination Manager, focusing primarily on the U.S.-based companies that have major projects overseas.

Stallings will ensure that Hempel is included in the corporate and project coating specifications of these companies and will work with Hempel’s sales teams in the U.S. and overseas to follow up and secure these projects.

Stallings has more than 20 years of experience in the oil and gas segment, working for Halliburton, Schlumberger, CB&I, Jacobs Engineering and other global companies. He has spent more than 11 years of his career working in Qatar, UAE and France in Business Development positions.  At Jacobs Engineering, he supported the company’s Abu Dhabi and Saudi offices in pursuing and winning major EPCM contracts.

‘Highly Competent and Experienced’

Stallings holds a B.S. degree in Petroleum Engineering from the Texas A&M University and is an active member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers and the Gas Processors Organization.

“We are very excited to have Ben in our team,” said Dimitris Likouressis, Group Protective Marketing Manager. “With him on board, the Group’s Multinational Coordination team gets bigger with one more highly competent and experienced member.”

Established in 1915, Hempel is engaged in a five-year strategy, One Hempel – One Ambition , to become one of the world’s top ten leading coatings companies by 2015. The plan includes quadrupling the company’s Decorative business, doubling its Protective business, and continuing to lead the Marine Maintenance Market.
