Huntsman has named Anthony P. Hankins to the new role of Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Asia Pacific, based in new regional headquarters in Hong Kong.
Hankins will also continue as President of the company’s Polyurethanes division—a position he has held since 2004. That division will relocate its global headquarters from The Woodlands, TX, USA, to Hong Kong during the course of 2011.

Hankins will facilitate the corporate and cross-divisional activities required to deliver growth, including investments and partnerships, strengthening the company’s asset base, developing people capability, and building relationships with governmental organizations and other key stakeholders. According to Huntsman, Asia Pacific already accounts for a quarter of its global sales.
Polyurethanes Veteran
Hankins has held a number of positions with Huntsman’s polyurethanes business since joining the company in 1008. Before that, he worked for ICI, where he held numerous management positions in the plastics, fibers and polyurethanes businesses. He has extensive international experience, having held senior management positions in Europe, Asia and the U.S.
Huntsman is a global manufacturer and marketer of differentiated chemicals for the paint and coatings, chemicals, construction and other industries.
The company has more than 11,000 employees and reported more than $9 billion in revenues in 2010.
