Elcometer Inc. and Polyguard Products have both announced new moves in the South, with expanded service for the U.S., Latin American and Caribbean markets.
Elcometer Opens SE Office
Elcometer Inc., maker of inspection equipment and software for the coatings inspection industry, has announced the opening of a new office to serve the Southeastern United States.
Located in Charleston, SC, the new office will serve as a hub for the region, including North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia.
Heading the office will be Kim Thompson, who joins Elcometer with several years of experience in computer-based software solutions, industrial equipment, blasting, painting, abrasives, safety and spray booths.

“This new regional office will allow Elcometer, a company with a tradition of commitment to solution-based selling and a customer-centric focus, to closely serve the many industries in this growing area of the country,” the company said.
Founded in 1947, Elcometer is the largest manufacturer and supplier of inspection equipment to its markets, with seven offices worldwide.
Polyguard Taps Latin America Rep
Polyguard has announced the promotion of Ariela Guardado to Latin America Business Development Representative.

The company, founded in 1950, provides building envelope protection, pipeline anticorrosion coatings, pavement waterproofing, and other moisture and contaminant protection solutions.
Guardado, based in Texas, will assist in developing and supporting the Latin America and Caribbean markets. She says she looks forward to “creating more ‘non-shielding’ awareness, delivering Polyguard’s innovative and strategic solutions for corrosion, and to sharing our products with the Latin and Caribbean experts.”
Guardado holds a public relations and business degree from Texas Tech University. She is NACE CIP Level 1 certified, and received rigorous training to meet the requirements of the industry.
