Montreal-based Chamtech Systems has expanded its selection of retractable enclosures to include flexible workspace for paint and sandblast applications.
The new line of retractable paint booths and sandblast enclosures is designed to meet increasing demands by industrial manufacturers in many sectors to save workspace while complying with air quality safety standards.
The retractable paint booths provide a safe, cost-effective, clean work area that is designed to work with various air filtrations systems currently on the market, according to Chamtech.

The enclosures simplify painting of large, hard-to-maneuver pieces in manufacturing facilities by offering 360-degree access when painting or abrasive blasting, and then using that floor space for other operations at other times. Large work pieces can be positioned with an overhead crane or forklift while the booth is retracted.
Features and Design
Composed of a translucent, fire-retardant shell (NFPA 701) mounted to a lightweight rolling aluminum structure, the paint booths retract to a fraction of their extended length. The shell allows exterior lighting to shine through, eliminating the need for specialized explosion-proof lighting.
Booths are available in an economical standard size (24 feet long x 14 feet wide x 9 feet high without rails) or can be customized up to 30 feet wide, 15 feet high and unlimited length.
Incoming airflow filtration requirements are controlled by the specially designed front door, and the rear door can be custom fitted to any filtration system.
The booth is delivered as a kit, with pre-assembly at the factory available as an option.
Other options include different front-door configurations and side skirts to reduce dust infiltration, and pre-assembly at the factory.
