New distribution agreements will bring International Paint’s Marine and Protective Coatings products to the Caribbean and Central America, while a separate alliance will expand Harsco Corp.’s access services to the North American infrastructure markets.

International Paint LLC, an AkzoNobel company, will leverage AkzoNobel’s current Glidden and Devoe dealer networks to supply marine and protective coatings to the Caribbean and Central America.

The first distribution agreement is with Penta Paints, a subsidiary of the Ansa McAl Group, a longtime licensee of Glidden paints and Devoe protective coatings brands in Trinidad and Tobago. Under the new agreement, Penta Paints will supply International Paint’s marine and protective coatings and linings to its growing clientele in the Caribbean.
The second agreement appoints HB Fuller as distributor of International Paint’s marine and protective coatings to customers in Costa Rica, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, El Salvador and Panama. HB Fuller has also been a longtime licensee of the Glidden and Devoe brands throughout Central America.
‘Important Regions’
The new agreements reflect International Paint’s ongoing goal of growing market share in these regions and throughout the Americas, the company said. International Paint manufactures protective coatings technologies for the oil, gas, chemical processing, power, pulp and paper, rail, steel structure, mining and marine industries.

Harsco Teams Up with Irex
Harsco Corp., global provider of industrial services and engineered products, has signed an agreement with Pennsylvania-based Irex Contracting Group as a preferred supplier of scaffolding and labor services on industrial and infrastructure sector projects throughout North America.

The arrangement will expand Harsco’s access services to the industrial maintenance and infrastructure construction markets across the United States and Canada.
Irex’s network of affiliated companies provides installation and maintenance of mechanical insulation and environmental services for office, residential and institutional buildings, manufacturing facilities, power plants, process plants, and other heavy industrial installations.

Harsco Infrastructure is a worldwide business group operating in more than 40 countries and specializing in providing highly engineered rental access, forming, shoring and site support equipment and services for a broad range of construction and industrial maintenance applications.
The company’s projects have included the Burj Khalifa Tower and Dubai International Airport in the UAE, the Terminal 5 expansion at Heathrow Airport in the UK, the Venice flood control project in Italy, and the Hollywood and Vine redevelopment in Los Angeles.
Harsco Infrastructure also provides access services and equipment for industrial plant maintenance in the petrochemical, electric utility and manufacturing industries.
