Seal-Krete, supplier of concrete and masonry coatings and weatherproofing protection, has launched a new line of High Performance Flooring Systems for industrial, commercial and other applications.
The line include three seamless concrete coating systems based on the latest in polyaspartic, epoxy-based and water-based urethane technologies. Each system is custom-specified to meet the performance and return-to-service requirements of the project environment, the manufacturer says.
“The desired protection and chemical resistance is easily determined based on the system selected and the number of coating layers applied,” says Kevin Corcoran, marketing manager of St. Louis-based Seal-Krete. “And multiple standard and custom finishes and color options are offered to achieve just the right look for any project.”
The line includes 10 standard quartz blends, 10 standard flake blends, 16 standard colors or a customized combination. Embedded customized designs in clear-coat layers are also available.

Three systems are available.
Poly-Shell Systems
Based on polyaspartic coating technology, Poly-Shell Systems provide the most durability and cure in hours. Poly-Shell resists UV rays; salt, oil, gasoline and other chemicals; abrasion; impact, and temperatures up to 350 degrees Fahrenheit, the manufacturer says.
Poly-Shell Systems are also flexible, allowing for natural movement within the concrete without cracking or peeling. They are suitable for indoor or outdoor applications and recommended for manufacturing plants, stadiums and other institutional and commercial settings.
Epoxy-Shell Systems
Epoxy-Shell is an affordable, epoxy-based interior floor coating system. The chemical-resistant formulation is designed to adhere to concrete, quarry tile, plywood and other substrates. It can be applied between 50 and 95 degrees Fahrenheit, with slower dry times.
Common applications include school hallways, cafeterias, shower and locker rooms, detention, labs and retail stores.
Dura-Shell Systems
A two-part, water-based urethane system, Dura-Shell is designed to resist heat, chemicals and shrinkage and to protect against thermal shock. The system is formulated for high tolerance to moisture, high humidity and temperate extremes and is designed to provide excellent bonding strength.
Dura-Shell Systems are designed for interior and exterior light industrial projects, including food processing and bottling; cooking areas; prisons; and chemical processing facilities.
