W.R. Meadows and Gemite Products have introduced Cem-Kote Flex CR for waterproofing, repair and protection of sewers, manholes, lift stations, digesters and other concrete structures exposed to hydrogen sulfide (H2S) environments.
The product is also designed for concrete restoration in thin sections that require flexibility, breathability and chemical resistance, the manufacturer says. Applications include protection and waterproofing of concrete floors, tanks, secondary containment structures, clarifiers and other structures subjected to various chemicals.
Features and Characteristics
Cem-Kote Flex CR is a two-component (Component A is dry; B is liquid), flexible, fiber-reinforced, hydraulic cement-based material. The manufacturer describes the product as non-toxic, vermin proof and self-curing, with long-term crack resistance and very low shrinkage. The product claims:
• Resistance to hydrogen sulfide environments;
• Superior freeze/thaw resistance; and
• Excellent bond to clean substrate.
