UV-curable materials manufacturer DSM has expanded its UVolve Instant Floor Coatings line to offer a variety of coating and finish types for application under a wide range of conditions.
The line now includes pigmented and clear coatings in matte and high-gloss finishes.
UVolve Instant Floor Coatings are 100% solid, single-component systems that cure immediately via a UV light, the manufacturer says. The product provides fast return to service, durability, and slip- and chemical resistance, DSM says. Low odor and near-zero VOC, UVolve is part of DSM’s green ECO+ products family.
The coatings can be successfully applied in cold temperature environments and are suitable for use in industrial, manufacturing, commercial, institutional, military and aviation settings. UVolve Floor Coatings must be applied by an approved applicator.
The coating line “addresses a number of challenges facing both applicators and owners,” says Michael Long, President of Restocon Corp. and an authorized UVolve applicator. “Overall, UVolve provides attractive, long-term protection for concrete flooring.”
