JLG Industries Inc. has unveiled what it calls the industry’s largest self-propelled boom lift.
The new 1500SJ, part of the JLG Ultra Boom Series line, is a 150-foot telescopic boom lift that the company says delivers greater work envelope flexibility and superior reach at elevated heights.
The lift elevates operators 150 feet, requiring only a weight permit. It includes a telescopic jib that extends up to 25 feet for additional vertical and horizontal reach.
“We are proud to introduce the 1500SJ to the industry and our customers, providing them with a lift that offers greater flexibility and tremendous reach,” said Chris Mellott, JLG Industries vice-president, sales and market development for the Americas.
“By providing the largest self-propelled telescopic boom lift, we are addressing a previously unmet need for customers who are looking for a 150-foot boom that requires only a weight permit—along with the support and reliability they have come to expect from JLG.” Equipment Features
Standard steel hoods provide durability and reduce cost of ownership, while new graphic LCD displays in the platform provide operators with key information to aid operation, the company says.
As with all Ultra Booms, the 1500SJ delivers dual 1,000/500-pound capacity, three steering modes, and advanced systems to assist in safely positioning the platform.
JLG, an Oshkosh Corp. company based in McConnellsburg, PA, manufactures aerial work platforms and telescopic material handlers.
