Larson Electronics has introduced the Magnalight LM-25, a 25-foot-tall, steel, two-piece light mast modeled after its 20-foot LM-20.
Equipped with a fold-down winch and a winch to elevate the mast from 15 feet to 25 feet, each mast can be used to mount several high-power metal halide or LED lights.
Typically used in a trailer configuration and powered by a solar-powered generator or standard diesel generator, the boom is designed for large-scale, portable lighting configurations at job sites.
The LM-25 is a tall sibling of the company’s 20-foot LM-20 unit. The LM-20 “has been popular and we have had requests for a taller configuration,” said Rob Bresnahan, of magnalight.com.
Features and Performance
The painted steel LM-25 is priced under $3000, offers telescoping and fold-down capabilities, and weighs less than 300 pounds. Equipped with a 12-inch-square, half-inch-thick steel surface mounting plate, the four corner holes enable operators and OEMs to securely mount the mast to any surface.
The unit has a 15-foot and a 10-foot section. The quarter-inch-thick upper mounting bracket can hold several large lights securely, the company says. Custom configurations are also available, to meet customer requirements.
The masts can be equipped with a variety of high-power LED lighting or with 1,000-watt or 1,500-watt metal halide lights for general area and hazardous location are use.
They can be used in conjunction with solar or standard diesel generators.
