Developing a maintenance painting program at a petrochemical plant will be the topic of a free SSPC-JPCL Education Series webinar from 11 a.m. to noon EST Dec. 8.
This webinar will describe how to develop and maintain a maintenance painting program: how to develop and collect data via condition assessments using visual standards and other tools, how to create and navigate a decision tree, and how to develop a uniform specification for coating work.

The presenter will be Ken Trimber, president of KTA-Tator Inc., a global coatings consulting firm. Trimber is well known in the coatings industry for his work on standards and his publication of numerous books and articles on various aspects of coating work, especially surface preparation.
He has served as President of SSPC: The Society for Protective Coatings and was named its Coating Specialist of the Decade.
SSPC is an accredited training provider for the Florida Board of Professional Engineers (FBPE). Professional Engineers in Florida may now submit SSPC Webinar Exam CEUs to the FBPE if they download the FBPE CEU form and successfully pass the Webinar Exam.
Webinar registration is free for most participants. For those who wish to receive continuing education credits from SSPC, a test will be available after the webinar; the fee for the test service is $25. These participants may register through the SSPC MarketPlace.
This webinar is part of the 2010 Education Series co-sponsored by SSPC and JPCL: Journal of Coatings & Linings. The series provides continuing education for SSPC recertifications and technology updates on important topics.
