Larger inventories, additional equipment testing, simplified rentals and next-day shipping are among the features that Pipeline Inspection Co. is offering with its new Total Support Initiative.
The program is designed to expand services and quality control programs for customers and distributors of SPY holiday detectors and pig detection equipment.
As part of the program, Houston-based Pipeline Inspection has increased its new product and rental inventories to provide customers same-day or next-day shipping anywhere in the United States.
Testing and Consignment Changes
The new program ensures that all rental SPY products are cleaned and calibrated at the company’s factory before service in the field. All equipment repairs will be performed at the factory, and all systems will be tested and calibrated to proprietary Pipeline Inspection specifications before returning to the field.
Although numerous PIC distributors have traditionally carried SPY Holiday Detectors & Pig Tracking Systems on consignment, the company will no longer provide units on consignment.
Rentals and Warranties
The company is also promising “full-scale” product rental service for U.S. distributors. Any domestic distributor can now notify Pipeline Inspection of a rental opportunity, and rental units will ship from the factory within 24 hours. Any renewals will be credited to the original distributor.
Customers will be assured of receiving a rental unit that has been cleaned, checked and calibrated between rentals.
All warranty and field support services will remain intact for the entire SPY product line. Warrant activation will be done at the time of shipping.
The company says the new program enhance current quality and safety standards and ensure that all SPY products in the field are operating in accordance to consistent factory standards.
