Thousands Expected for SSPC GreenCOAT Show

Comment | More

More than 200 exhibitors and 2,500 attendees are expected for the first GreenCOAT Show, hosted by SSPC: the Society for Protective Coatings.

Early-bird registration is due Nov. 1 for the four-day event, to be held Jan. 31 to Feb. 3 at  the Mandalay Bay Resort in Las Vegas.

SSPC expects strong attendance for its first solo show in six years. The show will focus exclusively on the $6 billion maintenance, protective and marine coatings industries.

GreenCOAT succeeds PACE, which SSPC co-hosted for five years with the Painting and Decorating Contractors of America.

SSPC calls the show the central event for the coatings industry and the only trade show and technical conference developed by and for coatings professionals and facility owners to address all aspects of protective coatings projects.

Program Highlights

GreenCOAT is designed for facility owners, specifiers, end users, manufacturers, contractors, engineers, consultants and inspectors. The program will highlight environmentally responsible coatings solutions.

The trade show will feature more than 200 exhibitors. Technical sessions and workshops will focus on surface preparation, application, coating formulation, testing, inspection and green coatings solutions.

SSPC will also conduct training and certification programs and hold its annual business meeting.

Professional Participants

"People who come to our event love the fact that it places them in front of the decision-makers who want to buy their products," said Russ Brown, president of SSPC.

"The strength of our programs and workshops bring high-level, professional participants, and this year's addition of environmentally focused programming will draw new attendees and offer fresh content for those who previously attended [PACE]."

More information, including exhibitor and sponsorship opportunities, is available at http://www.sspc2011.com.

SSPC is the only non-profit association focused on the protection and preservation of concrete, steel and other industrial and marine structures and surfaces through the use of high-performance industrial coatings. SSPC's core products and services include coatings industry standards, technical publications, training and certification courses, painting contractor certification programs, meetings and conferences and other online resources.
