Adhesive Packaging Specialties has introduced epoxy packaging in dual or pre-mixed/frozen syringes designed for small applications.
Packaging for reactive adhesives, sealants or resins in small, two-part epoxy delivery systems requires only a minimal amount of material to be dispensed at one time, the company says.
The process includes thoroughly blending two-component materials, degassing them to remove entrapped air, and then freezing the resin system in a disposable syringe or cartridge. These containers are then packed in dry ice and shipped directly to the customer's facility, where they can be stored in a freezer at -40º C.
Features
The packaging has a guaranteed shelf life and can be certified to customer specifications, according to the manufacturer. No measuring or dispensing gun is required, and no cleanup is required.
Dual syringes provide on-demand mixing and dispensing of two-component materials in a controlled process
Pre-mixed and frozen are two-part resin systems in a single syringe that, once thawed, are ready for use.
