Barton Mines Co. has appointed a new Northeast regional sales manager, while Spider has named a new district sales representative in the Midwest.
Barton Mines Promotes Morris
Barton Mines Co. (www.barton.com), supplier of garnet abrasives for waterjet cutting and blast media, has announced the appointment of Joe Morris as Northeast Regional Sales Manager. Morris replaces Chris Waters, who has been promoted to Manager of Customer Services.

Morris’s new position moves him from the company’s Inside Sales team, where he has worked since 2006, to an outside sales role.
As Regional Sales Manager, he will educate the waterjet and blast media markets about Barton garnet abrasives and will work to maximize customer satisfaction.
Morris possesses comprehensive knowledge of Barton’s line of garnet abrasives and a deep understanding of the market, the company says. He has also undergone OEM training on various aspects of waterjet technology, enabling him to assist customers with fault diagnosis of machines.
Before joining Barton, Morris worked in fabrication and manufacturing, including experience with technical paint and coating application methods and abrasive media blasting.
Spider Appoints Roberts
Frank Roberts has joined Spider (www.spiderstaging.com), a division of SafeWorks LLC, as district sales representative for the company’s St Louis location.

He will have responsibility for Eastern Missouri, Southern Indiana and Illinois, Western Kentucky, parts of Arkansas and Tennessee, and the industrial market in the Ohio River Valley.
Spider is a provider of suspended-access and safety systems.
Roberts previously worked in business development and sales at Safway Services in St. Louis; he has also held sales and operations management positions with Patent Construction Systems and RESCO Rents/Prime Equipment. He is a member of the Association of General Contractors and the Mason Contractors Association.
