Harsco Minerals has appointed Dominic DeAngelo as Product Manager of Abrasives and Roofing, while Pat Hatem has become a Vice President for Gaco Western.

At Harsco Minerals, DeAngelo will be directly responsible for developing and implementing global growth strategies and innovation for Black Beauty products.
The company, a division of Harsco Corp., is the United States’ largest manufacturer of blasting abrasives and third-largest manufacturer of roofing granules.
DeAngelo joins the company with nearly 20 years of project and product management experience in the abrasives and composites industries. Most recently, he was with Diamond Innovations (formerly GE Superabrasives).
Harsco Minerals, based in Mechanicsburg, Pa., operates 15 Black Beauty production facilities in 12 states and annually processes 1.9 million tons of coal slag, which it distributes with a rail fleet of 600 cars.
Gaco Western
At Gaco Western, Hatem is the new vice president of operations at the company’s manufacturing facility in Waukesha, Wis.
Hatem joins Gaco Western after a 16-year tenure at Johnson Diversey in a series of manufacturing and materials-related positions. She has a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from the University of Missouri-Rolla (now the Missouri University of Science and Technology).
Gaco Western manufactures specialty coatings for roof, pedestrian, and traffic decking, and spray polyurethane insulation for commercial, industrial and residential applications.
