The project includes cleaning and painting existing wood and metal surfaces associated with the lantern and tower. The metal will be coated with a zinc-epoxy-urethane system. The wood will be painted with an oil-based primer and a latex enamel finish. The exterior masonry walls, which were last painted in 2003 with an elastomeric finish, will be cleaned as part of this project and an alternate for applying sacrificial wax anti-graffiti coating is included. The project has an estimated value of $56,000-$65,000.
