Saturday (Aug. 14, 2010) is the deadline to submit abstracts for papers to be presented at the 2011 Waterborne Symposium in New Orleans.
The symposium, set for Feb. 28-March 4, 2011, is sponsored by The School of Polymers and High Performance Materials at the University of Southern Mississippi. The event draws leading experts in the field of polymer science and surface coatings.
Organizers are soliciting papers pertaining to new and emerging technologies related to materials, processes, production, characterization, application and markets in the field of surface coatings. Papers must be original and represent recent advancements in coatings science and related disciplines.
Papers will be selected based on the submitted abstracts. Papers judged to be principally commercial in nature will not be accepted.

Dec. 1, 2010: Early Bird Registration Discount
Jan. 2, 2011: Submission for Best Paper Award Abstracts may be submitted by visiting http://www.psrc.usm.edu/waterborne/ and clicking on the “Abstract Submission” link on the home page.
The symposium will also include several day-long Short Courses. Tentatively scheduled to date are “Reformulating to Waterborne Coatings” and “2010 Advances in Polymeric Materials for Protective, Decorative, and Functional Films.”
