BASF’s regional division Europe will be getting a new president with the retirement of Dr. Walter Seufert, the company has announced.
On June 4, the Board of Executive Directors of BASF SE announced the following changes in its management team.
Jacques Delmoitiez, president of BASF’s Polyurethanes division in Brussels, Belgium, will become president of BASF’s regional division Europe, in Ludwigshafen, Germany, effective Oct. 1.
Seufert, the current president, is retiring as of Sept. 30. In the U.S. Wayne T. Smith, will take over responsibilities for the Polyurethanes division as of Sept. 1. Smith is currently the president of BASF’s Catalysts division in Iselin, N.J.

Frank A. Bozich will become head of the Catalysts division, where he is currently responsible for the area of precious and basic metals. Chemical giant BASF’s portfolio ranges from chemicals, plastics and performance products to agricultural products, fine chemicals, and oil and gas.
