The Roof Coatings Manufacturers Association (RCMA) announced the election of Joseph Mellott, Garland Company, as president of the association for 2010-2011. Mellott heads the association's slate of officers, also elected during the recent RCMA 2010 Annual Conference and EXPO in Charlotte, N.C.
Joining Mellott as officers for 2010-2011 are Jeff Blank, SR Products Inc., as vice president for strategic planning; William J. "Skip" Leonard, Henry Company, as vice president for member services; and Steve Heinje, United Coatings, as secretary/treasurer.
Tom Meyer, Coating and Foam Solutions, was elected as a new member of the board of directors. He joins incumbent members Chris Salazar, Karnak Corp.; Don Portfolio, PRI Construction Materials Technologies LLC.; Jonathan Dietzel, the SWT Group; Biff Smith, Ergon Armor; and Chuck Fratianne, FBC Chemical Corp.
Portfolio was elected chairman of the association's Technical Committee. Elected co-chairman of the Solar Reflective Coatings Committee were Meyer and Craig Smith, Superior Products. Brian Anthony, The Brewer Company, was elected chairman of the Past President's Council.
Van Ripps, Palmer Asphalt Company, continues as chairman of the Annual Conference Committee. Continuing as co-chairmen of the Government Affairs Committee are Mary Ellen Snow, Ergon Armor, and Anthony Romano, GAF Materials Corp.
