NeverFade Paint Certified-Contractor Program Launched

Monday, June 7, 2010

Comment | More

APV Engineered Coatings®, the manufacturer of NeverFade™  paint based on Kynar Aquatec® polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) resins, announced the launch of the Pro-X Certified Contractor™ Program for painters and contractors.

Professional painters and contractors approved for the program will be certified to apply the water-based, low-VOC, high-performance paint. The product is warranted against fading for 15 years, and is reported to resist algae, fungus, stains, and abrasions.

Erin Brown, marketing director for APV Engineered Coatings, said contractors approved under the program will apply paint in residential and/or commercial building markets in their areas. She said certified contractors will receive marketing support from the company, including consumer marketing materials, publicity backing, website enhancements, and residential and commercial project presentation packets.

Brown said formulation of the paint with PVDF resins enhances the product’s resistance to thermal, chemical, and ultraviolet degradation. The company, based in Akron, Ohio, says the paint can be applied to vinyl siding, PVC, wood, aluminum siding, stucco, masonry, and fiber-cement surfaces. Paint orders are custom made, and are available in a wide range of colors. The 15-year warranty is reported to cover the cost of replacement product and job-related labor.

Contractors seeking more information about the certification program are advised to visit the website located at  http://www.apvcoatings.com/contact_us.html.
