Ansell Limited, a manufacturer of safety apparel, has reported that it has a new line of ergonomically designed gloves for workers in construction and general industry.
“Ansell developed HyFlex 11-830 to present workers with a glove that offers comfort, but also encourages worker compliance,” said Keitha Kessler, Ansell marketing manager, Ergonomic Products.
The product, Ansell says, is made using a patented knitting process that allows for better hand ventilation, greater breathability, and all-day comfort. The glove is also designed to more naturally fit the contour of the hand and to have more elasticity in the cuff so that donning and doffing it is easy.
A foam nitrile, metallic gray coating provides abrasion protection and a firm grip for workers handling objects in light oil or dry environments, the company says.
The glove is said to be launderable, with minimal shrinkage, to extend service life.
The company recommends the new glove for a range of applications, including maintenance; inspection; wiring; handling of small nuts, bolts and screws; driving; final assembly; packaging; and warehousing.
Ansell’s regional U.S. headquarters is in Red Bank, N.J. The company also has operations in Canada, Latin America, Europe, Asia, and Australia. It serves a range of industries.
