Rodda Paint Company (Portland, Ore.) introduced Ultimate II, described as a “more affordable” lifetime-warranty paint.
The product is described as a three-based tinting paint system formulated with a “specialty resin,” and is available in a satin gloss formulation. The paint is offered at the company’s commercial/residential store locations in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Alaska. The product is characterized by superior color retention; dirt, mold, and mildew resistance; washability; and early resistance to moisture, the company says. The VOC content is reported as 80 grams per liter,
The product is billed by Jim Armstrong, Rodda technical manager, as the company’s “best exterior lifetime paint yet that exceeds all leading environmental and performance standards.” Lis Weller, marketing manager, said the product has been “value engineered using new technology and available raw materials without compromising on its quality.”
