Sansin Unveils Color System for Stains

Sansin Corp. (Strathroy, Ontario), a developer of environmentally friendly interior and exterior wood stains, announced the introduction of the Eco-Tone™ Color System of color additives for the company's Purity® Interior zero-VOC base wood stain.

The colors in the system are based on pure pigments ground finely for deep penetration into wood, the company says. The colors are formulated for use with the company's new Purity® Interior Zero VOC Penetrating Stain , a water-based interior wood stain with a zero-VOC base that penetrates soft and hard woods with consistent, uniform coverage, the company says.

The stain is reported to produce little or no odor, ease of application with wipe or spray; fast dry time; minimum pigment transfer after topcoating; a high degree of penetration; lapping performance; and uniform appearance. The stain is offered in a new line of 16 Eco-Tone™ colors, which deliver the vibrancy and richness of dyes without the high toxicity.
