SSPC is inviting society membership to participate in the organization’s 2010 SSPC Board of Governors Election; one new board member will be elected, and another board member is a candidate for re-election. Both positions represent the Contractors category.
Voting is open only to active members of SSPC. Members can vote for their preferred candidate using the electronic ballot link that was sent via email on May 5, the SSPC Board of Governors Ballot that will be bound into the May 2010 issue of JPCL, or via the Ballot PDF that is available in the Members Only section of the SSPC website.
Members need a username and password to access the ballot. If needed, login information can be obtained from Terri Mcneill at mcneill@sspc.org.
The Board of Governors international candidates are :
• Gunnar Ackx, managing director/senior coating consultant, SCICON Worldwide (specialist coating inspection and consulting);
• Xilin Li, vice president, coatings, adhesives & specialties, Greater China Bayer MaterialScience (China) Co. Ltd.; and
• Pradeep Radhakrishna, director IQC/Insignia, WGI Heavy Minerals Inc.
The candidate for re-election is Derrick Castle, chemical & corrosion laboratory specialist, Kentucky Transportation Cabinet.
Candidate biographies are listed on the ballot. Members can vote for one of the listed candidates or write in a candidate of their choice.
All ballots must be returned by fax or mail to the SSPC office by June 25, 2010. SSPC urges all members to encourage colleagues who are SSPC members to vote.
