The Eagle Industries-sponsored Webinar, "SSPC Guide 6, Containment Classes and Components," has been rescheduled on Thursday, April 8 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m Eastern Time. This SSPC/PCL Education Series Webinar was originally scheduled for March 26 but was postponed due to technical difficulties. Persons who registered for the March 26 webinar have automatically been registered for the April 8 session and do not have to re-register.
Education Series Webinars provide continuing education for SSPC recertifications as well as technology updates on important topics.
Participation in the webinar is free, but for those who wish to receive continuing education credits from SSPC, a test is available after the webinar. Cost of the test service is $25. All participants, however, will receive a free certificate of completion.
The webinar on containment classes and components will be presented by Ken Trimber, President of KTA-Tator. Trimber has been chairman of SSPC's technical committee on containment since its founding 20 years ago. He has also served as chairman of ASTM Committee D-1 on Coatings, chairman of the SSPC Surface Preparation Committee, and president of SSPC. He has won numerous awards from both SSPC and ASTM for his contributions to coating technology.
In this webinar, containment systems are defined, and the hierarchy of containment classes and coating removal methods is reviewed. The components of containment enclosures are described, together with the components of ventilation systems used inside containment.
Methods to verify the proper working of ventilation systems are explained, and examples are given of successful containment systems.
Those who wish to participate in the webinar can register free at www.paintsquare.com/education.
