International Paint Protective Coatings has named David Hunter and Bill Dempster Fire Protection Business Managers, overseeing all sales and service efforts for the company’s Chartek® and Interchar® fire protection products throughout North America.
David Hunter currently serves as Oil & Gas Account Manager for the company’s Chevron and Exxon customers, and will now provide management support to the Fire Protection business in the US Gulf, Mexico and South America. Bill Dempster currently serves as the Americas HVI Market Manager and will provide leadership for the remaining territories of the US and Canada. In these roles, Hunter and Dempster will actively promote International Paint Passive Fire Protection Technology and products, assisting market managers and their regional teams in ongoing sales and service efforts. Both will regularly interface with John Herban, International Paint Protective Coating’s Americas Fire Protection Technical Manager, and the company’s Worldwide Fire Protection Laboratory in Felling, UK, to ensure technical competency in moving the fire protection business forward.
According to industry forecasts, the demand for fire protection materials is expected to double by 2018, the company says, mainly due to increasingly stringent fire protection regulations worldwide. The company’s Chartek® brand is primarily used to protect lives and assets in both offshore and onshore oil, gas and chemical processing facilities. The Interchar® brand is used to protect onshore commercial facilities such as commercial buildings, exhibition centers, and manufacturing facilities.
