Elcometer, Inc. has launched climate monitoring equipment, the Elcometer 320, and related software, ElcoMonitor ™, for real-time climate observation and monitoring to assure successful protective and marine coatings work.
Elcometer says the benefits of this advanced system are substantial. Audible and visual indicators provided by the signal tower of the Elcometer 320 give an instant warning that climatic conditions have surpassed the parameters set. The visual lighting display is a simple, three-stage indicator bar of green, yellow, and red. Audible warnings are triggered as parameters are exceeded as well. The system provides an accurate indication of relative humidity, air and surface temperature, specific humidity, and the difference between relative humidity and dewpoint (delta-T), according to Elcometer.
ElcoMonitor™ Software is a PC-based program that connects to individual monitors via Ethernet or Bluetooth. ElcoMonitor™ incorporates setup wizards that guide the user through the initial set up of each monitoring station. Once a station has been assembled and switched on, ElcoMonitor™ searches for all the active monitoring stations and identifies locations; assigns warning parameters; sets warning limits and alarms; and determines PC monitor refresh rates and download frequency, the company says.
