Sperian Protection (Smithfield, R.I.) announced that its flagship brand, Uvex®, has launched the Specifix collection of protective eyewear, including three new styles designed to meet unique needs of workers in several industries.
The entire collection features FlexFit™ bendable temples and nosepieces to make adjustment easy. According to Sperian, each piece of eyewear meets the ANSI Z87.1-2003 (high impact) and CSA Z94.3 standards and comes with a lifetime frame guarantee.
Uvex ExtremePro is ideal for work in foundries, chemical plants, metalworking, machining, pulp and paper, shipbuilding, and oil and gas industries, the company says. It comes equipped with the MoistureWick™ brow accessory to absorb perspiration, keeping lenses clear in high heat and humidity. The style is available with Supra-Dura anti-scratch coating, Uvextreme Plus anti-fog coating, or Dura-streme® dual anti-fog/anti-scratch coating.
Uvex PrecisionPro offers a frameless design and precise optics to reduce distortion, the company says. The style is suited for applications such as quality control, inspection, lab work, aerospace, fine maintenance, cleanrooms, and mechanics. It offers SCT-Spectrum Control Technology® lens tint to optimize lighting. The style is available with the anti-fog or anti-scratch coating.
Uvex VersaPro has a lightweight design, and the company says this style is ideal for assembly line work, shipping, machine operation, and other light manufacturing tasks. It is available with anti-fog or anti-scratch coating.
