Kristopher Felice has joined CAS-MI Laboratories and the CAS-MI Innovation Center (Ypsilanti, MI) as chemist/coatings technologist.
Felice began working for CAS-MI while earning a BS degree in polymer and coatings technology at Eastern Michigan University. In his new position, he will employ a range of analytical techniques such as SEM/EDXA, FTIR, ATR, microscopic FTIR, and MDSC, the laboratory said. He also has expertise in physical testing and failure analysis of paint and coatings.
CAS-MI Laboratories offers independent product testing and chemical analysis for paint, coatings, and polymers, with services that include deformulation (reverse engineering), contaminant identification, failure analysis, materials testing, product development, and formulation. Services also include litigation support and consulting, with expert-witness services for issues involving paints, coatings, polymers, plastics, adhesives, sealants, elastomers, and other materials.
CAS-MI Laboratories and the CAS-MI Innovation Center moved into a new, 11,000 square-foot facility in 2009. The expansion is part of the laboratory’s development of additional services for new-coatings product development and analytical support.
