Ace Hardware Corp., the hardware giant and owner of Ace Paint, has launched a site to connect mobile customers with company specials, stores and other information.
The Ace mobile/WAP site (http://acehardware.com) features:
• Mobile store locator with Google Maps, searchable by street address, city, state or ZIP code. Users can access local store information such as hours of operation, services provided, maps, driving directions and brands.
• Local weekly ads, allowing users to browse local Ace ads and view sale items and details near their location.
• Social networking, with links to Ace’s Facebook page, YouTube and Twitter channels, giving users the opportunity to stay current on all Ace-related news and videos.
“Consumers are increasingly using their mobile phones to research while they are out shopping,” says Mark Lowe, eCommerce marketing supervisor for Ace. “It’s a big moment for us, and we’re excited to be one of the first in our industry to connect with the mobile consumer.”
Ace is the largest hardware cooperative in the industry. In 2009, Ace ranked “Highest in Customer Satisfaction among Home Improvement Stores for the Third Consecutive Year,” according to J.D. Power and Associates.
