PWC Magazine Launches New Site

PWC: Painting and Wallcovering Contractor, the nation’s No. 1 publication for the finishing industry, has launched an entirely new web site, cementing the long-established magazine’s 21st-century digital presence.

The new site—www.pwc-magazine.com—retains the most popular features of PWC’s old paintstore.com site while adding many new interactive features and content.

Fast, colorful and easy to navigate, pwc-magazine.com will provide the latest expertise and information for finishing contractors from every sector: residential, commercial, industrial and decorative painters as well as paperhangers.

Along with old favorites like Dr. Paint, the Contractors’ Bulletin Board and searchable former and current issues of PWC, pwc-magazine.com users will find new interactives, daily industry news, supplier information, standards, classified advertising, updated buying guides, weekly polls and information about training, webinars and other opportunities for contractors.

Users may register to join the Contractors’ Research Council, which collects and distributes proprietary market research to its contractor-members. Readers will find space for their project photos and “Profiles in Success.” RSS feeds will keep users up to date on their preferred content channels. New tools enable users to customize their home page with their own “hot topics,” while advertisers can take advantage of the latest tracking capabilities and other cross-platform opportunities.

“The cutting-edge capabilities and wealth of content available on pwc-magazine.com will perfectly complement PWC’s respected print presence,” said Dr. Harold Hower, president of Pittsburgh-based Technology Publishing Co.,  which publishes PWC.

PWC Magazine has been committed to contractor success since 1938. It is fitting that we open this new decade with a full-scale multimedia platform to serve readers and advertisers.”

PWC has the highest circulation in the finishing and wallcovering industry, with more than 22,000 readers and a requested subscription rate of more than 86 percent. PWC’s circulation and demographics are audited by BPA Worldwide—one of few industry publications to regularly undergo this rigorous process.

Visitors to PWC’s old site will be automatically redirected to pwc-magazine.com.

In addition to publishing PWC, Technology Publishing Co. operates paintsquare.com, a major portal for the painting industry; publishes JPCL: The Journal of Protective Coatings and Linings; produces PaintSquare News, the only digital daily news in the paint industry; and operates Paint BidTracker, the only project leads service designed specifically for the painting industry.
