SSPC Holds Marine Courses in Japan

SSPC held its Marine Plural Component Applicator Certification course (MPCAC, C-14) at the U.S. Naval Ship Repair Facility & Japan RMC on November 12–13 in Japan. Instructors were Tom Jones, Hiromi Yamaguchi, Mokoto Imamura, and Taishi Nagata. Twelve students attended.

MPCAC Course 

MPCAC is designed to certify craft workers operating plural component spray equipment and those applying protective coatings on steel in immersion service by airless spray using plural component spray equipment.

SSPC also conducted its NAVSEA Basic Paint Inspector course (NBPI) at the U.S. Naval Ship Repair Facility & Japan RMC on November 12–16.

NPBI Students 

The NBPI course was developed by Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) to train coatings inspectors to inspect critical coated areas as defined by U.S. Navy policy documents.
