Hanley Wood Exhibitions announced that CONSTRUCT 2011 will move to Chicago, and is scheduled for Sept. 14-16, 2011, at McCormick Place's Lakeside Center. The event will be held in conjunction with the 55th CSI Annual Convention.
The exhibition will span three days-Sept. 14-16-and the education program will be offered over four days, Sept. 13-16. The show and education program encompass building planning, design, engineering, specifying, construction, renovation, and operation in the commercial building industry. The event will offer an accredited education program, expanded networking, special activities, and CSI member events.
Tom Cindric, director of Hanley Wood Exhibitions, said the plans reflect surveys of attendees, exhibitors, and CSI members, which find that "Chicago is consistently rated as a top convention city."
Hanley Wood Exhibitions also cited data from the Chicago Visitors and Convention Bureau, which indicates that more than 8.5 million people live in the metropolitan area, and more people travel there for overnight business trips than any other destination in the country.
"It's centrally located, easy to access, non-stop, from across the U.S., offers world-class amenities and business opportunities that support a successful event," said Jayne Dalton, show manager.
