The organizers of CONSTRUCT 2010 issued a call for white papers for a symposium planned in conjunction with the conference and exhibition, scheduled for May 12-14, 2010, at the Pennsylvania Convention Center, Philadelphia, PA.

The White Paper Symposium, scheduled for Tuesday, May 11, will offer advanced-level education sessions for commercial building professionals. The symposium carries the title “Foresight is Power: What is the Role of the Architect in 2025?” Members from the profession, academia, trade, industry, and government are invited to submit a white paper on subjects including, but not limited to, the role of the Architect as designer and contributor to development of technology, software, material, techniques, tools, the economy, approach to the environment, and other methods and processes that will be influential in the future.

All submittals will be peer reviewed for informed and innovative input on what researchers can determine will revolutionize the profession in the coming decades and how to harness that knowledge to plan for the challenges ahead, the event organizers said. Papers submitted will be considered for presentation at the CONSTRUCT2010 educational conference.

CONSTRUCT2010, held in tandem with the 54th Construction Specifications Institute (CSI) Convention and The TFM Show, is owned and produced by Hanley Wood Exhibitions. Additional event information and instructions for submitting topics are available at
