CAS-MI Labs, Chemical Dynamics Form Alliance

CAS-MI Laboratories (Ypsilanti, MI), an independent laboratory and product formulation facility, has announced an alliance with Chemical Dynamics, LLC, a Brighton, Michigan-based coatings consulting firm that also specializes in formulation development.

Ronald J. Lewarchik, president of Chemical Dynamics, brings over 35 years of research and development experience in formulating and testing of a wide variety of industrial, automotive, and UV-cure coatings, according to CAS-MI. He has special expertise in developing low VOC content coatings, low VOC coatings; low temperature-cure coatings; ultra-durable compositions; and thin-film, thick-film, and conventional corrosion-resistant primers.
 
“With the launch of our new CAS-MI Innovation Center, we can utilize Ron’s vast industry experience in such market applications as automotive, coil coatings, aerospace, appliances, packaging, building and more.” says David W. Riggs, PE, president of CAS-MI Laboratories. “Our analytical and testing capabilities will be an added asset to Chemical Dynamics’ consulting offerings.”
 
Also an Adjunct Research Professor at Eastern Michigan University, Mr. Lewarchik has been awarded numerous grants for developing energy-saving and environmentally friendly coatings products. In addition, he has 34 U.S. and multiple foreign patents and has published widely in both academic and trade journals. And Mr. Lewarchik is the recipient of three R & D 100 awards in global competition for the development of innovative coating technologies.

CAS-MI Laboratories, along with the CAS-MI Innovation Center, helps entrepreneurs and established corporations create new paints, coatings, adhesives, sealants, and other specially formulated products. It also offers troubleshooting services.

Chemical Dynamics and CAS-MI have experience providing litigation support services, such as expert witness testimony, data review, literature searches and trial preparation.
