The project includes abrasive blast-cleaning and recoating the gates, walkway bridge supports, and other structural steel surfaces with various vinyl, aluminum, and coal-tar systems. The contract, which required SSPC-QP 1 and QP 2 certification, includes containment of the existing lead-bearing coatings.
