The federal web site for contractors and subs with reporting requirements on stimulus projects is up and running.
Recipients of funds received under the Recovery Act may now register at www.federalreporting.gov.
The centralized site, for contractors with reporting requirements on federal economic stimulus (P.L. 111-5) projects, started accepting registrations Aug. 17.
First-tier subcontractors that have reporting responsibilities delegated through contracts with $25,000 or more of stimulus funds must register at the site to report on project progress, job creation and other information.
Once accepted, the reports will be available online at www.recovery.gov.
Registration requires an e-mail address, a DUNS (Data Universal Numbering System) number, and registration in the federal government’s Central Contractor Registration site at www.ccr.gov.
The first reporting period begins Oct. 1 and should include data through Sept. 30; the first reports are due Oct. 10.
Subcontractors should check with the “Prime” Stimulus Recipient (for example, the builder or general contractor) to identify what reporting is required under your contract.
