NPCA/FSCT and Vincentz Network are seeking abstracts for the Roon Awards, which will be part of the American Coatings Conference (ACC) in Charlotte, NC, on April 12–14, 2010. NPCA/FSCT and Vincentz Network co-sponsor the ACC.
The Roon Awards are given for the best technical papers. Abstracts are due by September 15, 2009, and should be 150–200 words long.
Individuals associated with the organic coatings industry, including raw material suppliers and educational institutions, are eligible to submit entries. Company or educational institution clearance for publication must accompany all papers.
Papers should reflect a step forward in scientific contribution to the coatings industry. They must be original work that has not been previously published or presented and should not exceed approximately 6,000 words. Papers over this length should be divided into more than one paper; multiple entries from one author are acceptable. Papers will be rated with emphasis on originality (40%), scientific importance (20%), practical value (20%), and quality of composition (20%).
