Got a painting project stalled by Mr. and Mrs. Homeowner’s standoff over color choices? Valspar is offering to help break the deadlock with new online tools.
"Love, Our Style," is a new website by Valspar designed for newlyweds and couples seeking help on how to merge individual styles for their home. The site combines tips and tools, a style quiz, contest and first-timers paint guide.
Nearly 2.2 million couples marry every year and, sooner or later, face the challenge of merging their tastes into one cohesive look, Valspar says.
"Let's face it. Almost every guy has that prized bachelor possession, and almost every woman would love to toss it. But choosing a home décor that combines both styles doesn't have to be difficult," said Sue Kim, color stylist for Valspar Corporation.
"Paint, for example, is a simple and affordable way to bring two styles together to create a unified look.

Our Style Quiz. Couples answer 10 “playful, yet challenging” multiple-choice questions to determine their combined style, which they can share with friends and family via Facebook or email.
Our Style Photo Contest. Couples can share their style dilemma with Valspar for a chance to win a home décor/paint makeover.
Wedded Bliss. With TheNest.com, couples get a peek at how others have merged styles through the "Real Couple Home Tours" and how they can get the same look with Valspar paint colors.
