YWS Architects, a Las Vegas-based firm specializing in leisure design and architecture, announced the accreditation of three of the firm’s architects as Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Accredited Professionals (AP). The accreditations bring the number of LEED APs at the firm to eight.
The newly accredited APs are Tom Wucherer, YWS co-founder and principal, and Associate Architects Eddie Cervantes and Mike Stewart.
“YWS is serious about the business of leisure, and continues to evolve with the ever-changing landscape of the design industry,” Wucherer said. “We realize that creating beautiful, green structures is not only feasible, but also desired by our clients.”
YWS, founded in 2001 by Wecherer and Jon Sparer, specializes in architecture and design in hospitality, gaming, dining, and entertainment. The firm’s portfolio includes roles in the integrated resorts Bellagio, Mirage, and Treasure Island in Las Vegas, Borgata in Atlantic City, and MGM Grand Macau.
