Dumond Chemicals introduced Smart Strip™ by Peel Away®, described as a simple and environmentally safe system for removing up to 15 layers of paint in a single application.
The product is applied by brush or roller, is useful for removing paint on intricate carved or molded surfaces, and is effective on a variety of surfaces including wood, brick, metal, concrete, stone, plaster, or fiberglass.
The product is formulated without methylene chloride, caustics, NMP, or other toxic chemicals, and will not burn the skin, the company says. It is described as water-based, biodegradable, pH neutral, and with no VOCs, TAPs, or HAPs.
