AIA New Orleans announced plans for an art and architecture exhibition during the month of August, featuring works by local architects, at the new AIA New Orleans Center for Design located on Lee Circle at 1000 St. Charles Ave.
The works will emphasize the process and methods by which design ideas are investigated and refined, AIA New Orleans said in announcing the exhibition. Items on exhibition will be available for sale via online auction that will benefit the AIA New Orleans Pairing Program, which assists businesses and homeowners in need of architectural services.
Artworks will be exhibited for one month, beginning with a members-only opening event on July 30. The public opening is planned for Aug. 1 during the White Linen Night, and the exhibition will conclude with a closing celebration on Aug. 29.
On display at the exhibition will be a wide array of artwork and designs, including photography, drawings, furniture, sculpture, physical models, and others. Participants include Brad Brooks, Billes Architecture, Concordia LLC, Ammar Eloueini, HMS Architects, Holly & Smith Architects, Lee Ledbetter, NANO, Peter Trapolin, Wayne Troyer (Studio WTA), and more.
