BASF, global manufacturer of polyurethane foam insulation, has introduced Enertite spray-applied polyurethane foam insulation to its line of SPF products. Enertite is an open-cell foam that insulates while providing other high-performance benefits, including sound absorption and protection from thermal leaks, BASF says.
The water-blown foam flows easily into difficult-to-reach areas and creates a seamless seal, reducing residential energy costs, the company says.
Enertite also absorbs sound, making living spaces quieter and improving acoustical performance in home theaters and similar areas, BASF says. The product carries a limited lifetime warranty.
